18. Nandipur, West Benga
According to the Hindu legends, it is whispered that Devi Sati’s “Necklace” fell here and Goddess is present in a huge rock in the shape of tortoise. The main idols of this legendary divine place are Devi as “Nandini” and Lord Shiva as “Nandikeshwar” (located in the banks of Tista River), worshipped here. The holy place is dedicated to Maa Durga and Lord Shiva.

19. Nalahati, West Bengal
According to the Hindu legends, it is whispered that Devi Sati’s “Vocal Chord”fell here. The main idols of this legendary divine place are Devi as “Kalika”and Lord Shiva as “Yogesh”, worshipped here. That is why the name Nalateshwari is used as a synnonym for the Peeth.

20. Attahas, West Bengal
Devi's lower lips fell here and the idols are Devi as Fullara (Blooming) and Shiva as Bhairabh Vishwesha (Lord of the universe). The place is in Bengal near Birbhum. Image of Devi and the Shiva temple is next to the Devi temple.

21. Varkreshwar, West Bengal
Bakreshwar Shakti Peeth is among the 51 Shakti Peeth of Ma Sati. It is said that, the ‘portion of brain’ of maa Sati fell here .Here the idol of maa Sati is called as ‘Mahismardini’ and the lord Shiva is worshipped as ‘Bakranath’.

22. Ughadha, West Bengal
This Shakti Peeth is located around 32 Kms from Vardhaman in West Bengal. The Shakti is know as “Bhrithatri” or “Bhutdhatri” and the Bhairav is known as Ksheerkanthak

23. KArtoyatat, West Bengal
Karota Shakti Peeth, having the massive presence of its worshippers, comes in vision after the very saintly saga of Goddess Shakti makes its priceless presence. Reasoning that Goddess Shakti’ sole of her left foot had fallen where the phase of bowing down from the entire Hindu Parivaar persents on. This Shaktipeeth is located at Bhawanipur Village in West Bengal. The Shakti is known as ‘Arpana’ and Bhairav is known as ‘Vaman’

24. Chatal, West Bengal
Devi's right arm fell here and the idols are Devi as Bhavani (Devi) and Shiva as Chandrashekhar (the one who has the moon as the crown). It is said that Mahadeva has himself pronounced that he will visit Chandrashekhar mountain regularly during Kali yuga

25. Yashor, West Bengal
Devi's centre of the hands fell here and the idols are Jashoreswari and Shiva as Chanda (Moon or the one who holds the moon). This place is also called by varying names such as Yashor, Jessore and Yashohar.

26. Bahula, West Bengal
Devi's left arm fell here and the idols are Devi as Bahula (Abundant) and Shiva as Bhiruk (who is also Sarvasiddhadayaka).

27. Trishota, West Bengal
Devi's left feet fell here and the idols are Devi as Bhramari (Bumblebee) and Shiva as Iswar (God). On the banks of Tista river in Shalbari village in Jalpaiguri district in West Bengal. According to Hindu mythology, there once lived an asura (demon) called Arun asura to set up his kingdom drove out the devas from heavens, and extended his imperial drastically over families of devas e.g. their wives. The devis (wives of devas),closing their eyes, came to Aruna asura and prayed to Goddess Parmeshwari to save them.As a result, Goddess Parmeshwari, transforming herself into a large bee with a swarm of bees, surrounded the wives of the devas. Then, the bees began to tear the chest of the demons. The powerless asuras could not fight, and died rapidly. After that, The devis (wives of devas) thanked Parmeshwari Devi for saving their chastity. Therefore, Goddess Parmeshwari got the name of 'Bhramari Devi' as the protector.

28. Vibhasha , West Bengal
Tamluk, in the district of Medinipur Devi's left ankle fell here and the idols are Devi as “Bhimarupa” or “Kapalini” and Shiva as Sarvananda. Believing to devastate the entrire devils’ spirits from the world, Vibhasha Shakti Peeth lays its linkage direct to her devotees.

29. Kalika, West Bengal
Kalighat Shakti Peeth to have been an uniqueness in Calcutta whereon Goddess Shakti’ right leg fingers fell subjects to Kalighat Kali Temple, intuitively. As history is concerned, Kalighat Temple was as a small hut, but the present temple was built by the Sabarna Roy Choudhury family of Barisha in 1809.  Here the idols are named as Kalika for Devi and Nakulish for Shiva.Offering  595 bighas of land to the Kali Temple, he with the very priority kept in mind to worship could be continued easily. Though, the entire breed of human bows down their head at Kalighat to pay patronage to the Goddess Kali Maa. Two saints-Brahmananda Giri and Atmaram Giri with the incredible hands crafted to the present dakshina Kali idol of touchstone. Interestingly, it was Padmabati Devi (the mother of Laksmikanta Roy Choudhury), discovered the fossils of Sati's finger in a lake called Kalikunda made Kalighat as one of the 51 Shakti Pithas.

30. Ratnavali, Tamil Nadu
Devi's right shoulder fell here and the idols are Devi as Kumari (Durga) and Bhairava as Shiv (Remover of fear). This place is supposedly located near Madras (now Chennai) in Tamil Nadu.

31. Kanchi, Tamil Nadu
Kanchipuram, a very famous pilgrimage spot, is situated in Tamil Nadu and is very widely known for the spiritual powers of the Devi Kamakshi. This is one of the Pancha Budha Shrines situate in Tamil Nadu and represents the earth form. The Shiva is called “Ekambara Nathar” . The name of the idols here are “Devgarbha” for Devi and “Ruru” for Shiva.

32. Shuchi, Tamil Nadu
According to the Hindu myths, it is whispered that Devi Sati’s “Upper teeth”fell here. The main idols of this legendary divine place are Devi as “Maa Narayani” (wife of Narayan) and Lord Shiva as “Sanghar or Samhara” (the destroyer), worshipped here.

33. Kanyakashram, Tamil Nadu
Devi's back fell here and the idols are Devi as Sharvani and Shiva as Nimisha. There are varying opinions about whether this is Kanyashram or Kalikashram or Kanyakumari.

34. Kalmadhav, Madhya Pradesh
There are varying opinions on whether Amarkantak or Kalmadhav is the perfect spot. The most adapted view of Amarkantak, which is very close to Chitrakoot, is the originating point of River Narmada and is situated in Madhya Pradesh. Here the idols are named as “Kali” for Devi and “Ashitanda” for Shiva.
